Story of My Life is…

Forged from a serendipitous encounter on the /r/duranduran subreddit, Story of My Life is the synergistic musical alliance of styles between LA-based vocalist Dave Santos and Minnesota’s multi-instrumentalist Jacob Kappus.

Dave, with an impressive background including A Doll’s House, The Startles, Astropark, The Outer Spaces and Transella adds his seasoned voice to the duo. Jacob, with his versatile instrumental and vast array of influences from ambient to metal complements the collaboration perfectly.

Their early sessions breathed fresh life into two underappreciated yet beloved Duran Duran tracks, which mark ‘Story of my Life’s distinct creative footprint in the musical landscape.

‘Story of my Life stands at a pivotal turning point with a new full-length album expected in 2025. While remaining heavily influenced by their music roots, this upcoming album promises to usher in a dramatic and more personal connection as they move through the evolution of their sound.
